Blind Sided....

I've been blind sided by Christmas. It snuck up on me. I'm not ready. But, really, are we ever? I think we just keep preparing until we finally have to stop.

I saw this little guy at Barnes and Noble last night. Isn't he adorable? I have to have one. With the maiden name of Barnes, I have a few people (my husband among them) who still call me "Barnsie" from time to time. Gotta get Barnsie.

I started "Dashing" from Knitty Spring 2006. I shortened it. The pattern really made it too long and uncomfortable. Who needs that clear up your arm? But I like it. It won't fit the intended (my son) so I'm sure I'll end up with them. I'm having trouble with mittens these days. The charity mitten would have fit the jolly green giant and I can tell this one is too small for Michael. I'm sure you're wondering about gauge. Hmmn.... gauge. She who does not check gauge gets exactly what she deserves. (In this case, a great new pair of fingerless mitts.)
