So I told my husband that the baptism in Sewickley started 1/2 hour earlier than it actually did knowing we would arrive an hour early and have to kill time. Low and behold, much to my amazement, there was a yarn shop on the main street that we might as well check out since we were there and we had the time. (heh heh, I'm going to burn in hell :-) But anyway, Yarns Unlimited. GREAT store. They have everything. (a decidedly unimaginative name for such a great place, but on the other hand, it does say it all, doesn't it?) The store was busy and obviously very successful so, really, what's in a name?
I got this:
And make no mistake, these socks WILL be mine. Perfect for wearing with khakis.

YU is one of my favorite shops, too! I've been shopping there for years. My niece works close enough to visit on her lunch hour. How unfair is that? (But handy, I can e-mail and have her pop down and pick me up something if necessary.)
I'm going to have to visit Sewickly soon I see. I usually shop at Yarns by Design in Oakmont. And hey, I'm a soaper too. Just got done making some OMH Goat Milk soap today!
Laurie is right, I do work close. Close enough to be DANGEROUS. Is it bad that when I walk in, they all know my name. Like Norm @ Cheers. And if they don't have the color you want, ask!!! They always have a TON of stock that they can't always get out on the shelf hiding in their storage areas. :)
Catie told me you ewre going to be in Sewickley...I was hoping you knew of the shop...! :)
